April showers bring May flowers . . . and outdoor dining in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin! As spring weather sets in, we’re all ready to enjoy Wisconsin weather outdoors, and what better way then outdoor dining! Keep reading for all things outdoor dining.

Botham Vineyards has both a large outdoor terrace and a spacious, indoor Back-Barn Lounge space available for enjoying wine and a picnic.  Our food options are limited to cheese, snacks, chocolate, and cheeseboards (call ahead to inquire about cheeseboard offerings), but guests are welcome to pack a picnic to enjoy with wine, beer, or soft drinks from our tasting room. Carry-in alcohol is STRICTLY prohibited.

The terrace is open April through October, weather permitting. The Back-Barn Lounge is also open April through October, except when rented for private events.

Hi Point Steakhouse has a beautiful patio area that overlooks the sunset. You can enjoy the sun or shade with umbrellas while sipping on one of their famous cocktails, like a homemade Old Fashion!

Currently, Hi Point is planning on having the patio area opened by May.

Hi Point Steakhouse is open Tuesday – Sunday. Their bar opens at 4 pm, with dinner starting at 4:30. Reservations are not required but always a good idea.

The Grumpy Troll has 2 outdoor patios with full service so you can enjoy your meal outdoors, both patios are also dog friendly. They have amazing seating options for both sun or shade. 

Both of their patios are available open to close Monday  11a.m.-8p.m., Tuesday, 11a.m.-9 p.m. , Wednesday- 11am.-9pm, Thursday 11am.-9pm, Friday 11a.m. -10 p.m. Saturday 11-10. Sunday 11 a.m.- 8 p.m. Some of their offerings include handcrafted beer, they are a proud independent Craft brewer! They also offer a locally sourced menu with a renewed focus on locally sourced and scratch-made food, you can enjoy a variety of pub favorites and regional specialties. Norsk Golf Club has an outdoor patio with full service so you can enjoy your meal outdoors. With umbrellas available, this is a great option for those looking to soak up the sun or enjoy the shade. We also have a 20×30 tent with 6 picnic tables. Serving lunch, and dinner, The Norsk offers a wide variety of cuisine from burgers, wraps to pizza. The Walk-On has an outdoor seating area with full service so you can enjoy your meal and drinks outdoors. With umbrellas available, this is a great option for those looking to soak up the sun or enjoy the shade. Serving lunch and dinner, the Walk-On offers appetizers, sandwiches, wraps, wings, the best burgers in town, and much more!

Brix Cider offers a large outdoor eating space with picnic tables right on the Military Ridge Bike Path where you can enjoy your locally sourced cider and meal.  Brix features at least 11 ciders made on-site as well as an extensive farm-to-table menu supporting local farmers and food producers.  In addition to cider and food, they open at 8 am daily serving locally roasted coffee from Drift Coffee in Mount Horeb.  Drinking and dining at Brix is a wonderful way to enjoy the food that comes from right here in the driftless region. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner Wednesday-Sunday from 8 am – 9 pm

Icki Sticki has many options for everyone! Drive-thru, indoor and outdoor patio seating. Their outdoor seating is spaced out with comfy tables and chairs!  

No need to worry about parking, Icki Sticki has an ample private parking lot. Icki Sticki is open daily at 6 am until late evenings! Enjoy their full service coffee and ice cream shop, bubble tea, smoothies, breakfast, and lunch, shave ice & over 40 flavors of Ice Cream. They also have an Amazon locker on location!

Sjolinds offers a wide variety of sweet and savory bakery items made in house as well as a delicious coffee menu.  

In addition, they have soups, sandwiches, and Scandinavian specialties.  They also make our own bean-to-bar chocolate and a wide variety of confection. Just ask for your own copy of the chocolate menu at the service window.

Their patio is open year-round. In the warm months, they have tables and chairs on the patio and the lawn. All of the tables and chairs are a healthful distance from each other.  In the cooler months, there is a fire pit with benches. Please note currently they serve all guests through the service window at The Factory location.

Skal Public House will be offering a 16ft x 70ft outdoor space with covered seating with a very inviting European feel.  They will have music, seasonal heaters and lights to help enjoy the space throughout the seasons.  You will be able to get some sun, shade and plenty of fresh air and we even have a place for your bike, in our quaint alley patio. 

Skal Public House offers 11 tables with 42 seats available.  Their complete menu as well as craft cocktails and 24 tap beer lines are available.   They offer upscale pub food with a Scandinavian influence. The patio opens on April 15th and runs until Nov 15th.  Open Tuesday-Sun at 11 am. 

They are proud to be a Best of Madison 2021 finalist in seven categories, including Old Fashioneds, Cheese curds, Fish Fry, Cleanliness, and of course…outdoor dining.  They look forward to seeing you in the Alley!

Sunn Cafe offers fresh, made-in-house soups, salads, sandwiches, unique breakfast options and GF sweet treats, plus beer, wine, and espresso drinks too.  Starting April 17; M-S 7:30-3 through summer, they’ll have bistro tables on Main St; sunny seating on Second St and a cool new shaded Back Alley Patio.
