Surrounding the 1852 Hauge Log Church National Historic Site, this unique 30-acre park holds the second highest public observation point in Dane County  and was named "Best Place to Watch a Sunset" by Madison Magazine. Take in spectacular views of the Blue Mounds, sweeping Driftless vistas, and 1.5 miles of peaceful groomed hiking trails. Open year-round, it's a beautiful destination for walking, picnicking, and snowshoeing just 10 minutes south of Mount Horeb.

Duane R. Hofstetter Conservation Park

Best for: Quiet Walks & Nature Escapes

Tucked at the end of Glen View Road on the Village's south side, this quiet 26-acre park offers open grassland, wooded areas, and mowed walking trails. Named for Duane Hofstetter, who served the village for more than 30 years, it's a peaceful spot for a gentle stroll close to home.
